Umahi declared that he had seen no evidence of foul play while insisting that an autopsy must be conducted before her body is released for burial.

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has dismissed allegations linking him to the death of 26-year-old Physiotherapist, Mary Habila, who died at his residence in Uburu, Ebonyi State.

Umahi declared that he had seen no evidence of foul play while insisting that an autopsy must be conducted before her body is released for burial.

Speaking on Thursday during a press briefing in Abuja after updating journalists on projects recently approved by President Bola Tinubu, Umahi described attempts to connect him with the incident as politically motivated, saying the controversy surrounding the young woman's death had been blown out of proportion.

The minister said Habila had lived and worked with his family for about three years, describing her as "like a daughter."
