In May, Hong Kong International Airport opened its second passenger terminal as part of a US$14.5 billion expansion aimed at strengthening its position against global aviation hubs including Singapore Changi and Dubai International Airport.
Terminal 2 hosts 15 airlines, most of them low-cost carriers, including AirAsia, IndiGo, Bangkok Airways, Cebu Pacific, Hainan Airlines and Cambodia Airways, Bloomberg reported.
With revitalized neighborhoods, a thriving dining and nightlife scene, world-class cultural institutions and some of Asia's most ambitious tourism campaigns, Hong Kong is emerging as a favorite destination of tourists, British magazine Time Out wrote.
