The Oyo State Government on Thursday officially launched the Digital Land Survey Plan Registry to enhance transparency, efficiency and accountability in land administration, marking a significant step towards modernising the state’s land management system and improving access to survey records and related services.

The state Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Williams Akin-Funmilayo, speaking during the launch at the Office of the Surveyor-General, Secretariat, Ibadan, said the registry is an innovative platform designed to modernise the registration, management, verification and spatial analysis of survey plans.

Akin-Funmilayo, who was represented by the state Surveyor-General, Adesoji Adeoye, said the initiative reinforces the state’s commitment to digital transformation, transparency and efficient land administration.

He maintained that digitising the registry would provide faster, more secure, and more reliable services to licensed surveyors, land professionals, investors, government agencies, and the general public.
