Arsenal’s chief commercial officer Juliet Slot is to leave after almost five years with the club.Slot is credited with helping drive record-breaking commercial revenues at Arsenal, enabling the club to continue investment in their playing squads. That culminated in the 2025-26 Premier League title, and Slot and Arsenal have determined now is the right time to part ways. The departure of the Slot is the latest in a series of behind-the-scenes changes at Arsenal this summer. Until now, the focus has principally been on the performance and medical departments, with club doctor Zafar Iqbal, head of sports science and performance Tom Allen, and lead performance coach Sam Wilson all high profile departures.Slot is a commercial strategic leader who has amassed considerable experience across sport. Prior to joining Arsenal in December 2021, she was the first commercial director for Ascot Racecourse, along with spells at Fulham Football Club, Adidas and Great British Racing. She has also served as a non-executive director on the British Olympic Committee.
Arsenal posted commercial revenue of £263.2million in their most recent accounts, an increase from £218.3m the previous year. That commercial success helped the north London club to post a record revenue of £691m for the year ending May 2025.“My team handles most of the work on our global partnerships, but I’m often the one who brings in the client or is approached through my network, so I stay closely involved,” Slot said of her Arsenal role in 2025.“For major partnerships like Emirates, Adidas, Sobha, and Visit Rwanda, I will sit very much in the centre of those deals as they are so important. I also love being part of building, protecting and promoting our brand, staying close to the creative content, and driving our commercial strategy forward.”AnalysisSlot’s time at Arsenal has seen the club re-established as a commercial powerhouse. With on-field success helping to change perception of Arsenal’s brand, Slot and her team have been able to strike an ever-expanding list of valuable commercial deals. In the current regulatory environment, commercial revenue is a major factor in the club’s capacity to invest in its playing squads.Slot’s work helped create the regulatory room for Arsenal to build a title-winning team.Jul 16, 2026Connections: Sports EditionSpot the pattern.
