Hossein Kermanpour, the head of the Public Relations and Information Center at Iran’s Ministry of Health, announced that, as of noon on Wednesday, July 15, the number of individuals injured in the July military strikes had surpassed 300. He reported that 72 people remain hospitalized and that at least 35 individuals have lost their lives, including two women and a teenager under the age of 18. According to the ministry, the provinces of Hormuzgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Khuzestan sustained the heaviest damage.
One of the most severe incidents occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, July 15, when a strike targeted the Army’s 388th Brigade in Bampur, located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. The Islamic Republic Army issued a statement confirming that 13 missiles struck the garrison’s barracks, guest quarters, and sentry posts, killing seven active-duty personnel and conscripts. The army identified the deceased as Abolfazl Molaei, Hossein Jafari, Farshad Alavi, Abbas Hesamoddini, Alireza Ghasemi, Abbas Hassanshahi, and Reza Shafiei.
However, conflicting casualty figures have emerged. While some official domestic outlets put the death toll from the Bampur strike at 10 and the number of injured at more than 15, local sources in nearby Iranshahr reported that at least 50 soldiers and personnel were wounded, a figure that remains unverified by independent observers.
