The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) says the name ‘Mary Habila’ does not appear on the database of registered physiotherapists following verification through the appropriate regulatory channels.
The clarification followed public interest in Habila’s professional status, with the Society maintaining that only official regulatory records can establish whether a person belongs to a regulated profession.
The position was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the NSP Public Relations Team, in which the Society’s President, Dr. Felix Odusanya, said the verification was carried out before the clarification was released.
“Following verification through the appropriate regulatory channels, the name ‘Mary Habila,’ as stated, does not appear on the database of registered physiotherapists,” the statement read.
