July 16 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump will give a primetime speech on Thursday evening to discuss election security as he teases a "big announcement."
The president is expected to share information that he has received from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence during Thursday's speech, ABC News, CBS News and The New York Times report citing unnamed sources. That information is said to be related to the 2020 election which he lost to former President Joe Biden.
Trump's speech is scheduled for 9 p.m. EDT.
"Thursday is, it doesn't get bigger because without free and fair elections, you don't have a country," Trump said when asked by reporters about the speech. "We'll be discussing other things too, but -- but it's going to be a very big announcement."
