Some people collect stamps. Others collect coins. But Kesha has a slightly rarer hobby, as the pop star opened up in a new interview about collecting teeth. The “TiK ToK” singer, 39, explained her strange interest on an episode of podcast Las Culturistas hosted by comedian Matt Rogers and Saturday Night Live alum Bowen Yang that was released on Wednesday (15 July).“Do you know that I collect teeth?” she told the pair unprompted, with Rogers replying: “You do? What sort of teeth?” asked Rogers. “I do. Send them over!” she replied. The singer – who last weekend appeared on stage with Pitbull wearing a bald cap – explained: “Well, the teeth started when I became obsessed with my fans. And then someone was like, ‘My child lost their teeth’ and I was like, ‘Can I have them?’ because I want to make jewellery out of it.Kesha said that she turned her fan’s teeth into ‘a necklace and an earring and then a belt and then a crown’ (Getty)“And so then I made a necklace and an earring and then a belt and then a crown. Oh, the crown’s wild.”Kesha explained that she’d then started collecting teeth, in part because it “freaks out straight men”. “I just started putting [them] all over my home in little jars,” she said. The trio then started debating where parents put their children’s teeth after taking them as the tooth fairy, with Kesha saying that they should “give them to me” instead.“Can I have your teeth, please?” she asked. “Can I actually have them? It’s not a drill and it’s not a joke. I’m a pop star and I need your teeth.”Kesha made the revelation on the 'Las Culturistas' podcast (Las Culturistas/YouTube)Enjoy unlimited access to 100 million ad-free songs and podcasts with Amazon MusicSign up now for a 30-day free trial. So she stuck it in the oven. She put it in a box, and she found it when I was like 21 years old in the basement… She fought for that, so now I carry it around.”
