Ryan made his debut on the soap in 2025 as bully Brody and has been involved in a ton of big soap moments.‌From discovering his biological father is fellow resident Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) to committing kidnap, Brody’s time in Weatherfield has not been short of eventful. And while Brody’s life on-screen has been full of drama, off-screen actor Ryan's family life is the complete opposite as his real father is not just a role model, but a star-maker.‌His father is Eamon Mulvey, who helped train Marcus Rashford, as senior academy coach and player development mentor for Manchester United. He and his mother Heidi, who is employed by the National Grid, couldn't be more proud or supportive of their son.“I am really close to both my parents and my sister, Freya. They are super proud of me,” Ryan previously told The Mirror. He added: “Dad coaches at the academy at Manchester United and he has an amazing job.‌“My grandad used to play for Blackburn and my grandma, Carol (his wife) enjoys football more than all of us! There's a running joke in the family that I have never played football but I always get cast in a game!".Instead of eagerly following his family into the beautiful game, he rebelled against a career in football. Speaking about his father and grandfather, he says: "They were both very good players, but I was stubborn as a kid.Article continues below"Every person – because of dad and grandad – was like 'you are going to be a footballer'.
