A special investigation team (SIT) inquiring into the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala Ayyappa temple visited the Travancore Devaswom Board office on Thursday as part of the investigation. The visit of the team led by Superintendent of Police S. Sasidharan, the head of the SIT, comes a few days ahead of the filing of its final report at the Kerala High Court.The SIT had last month informed the High Court that it had established a clear sequence of events that led to the removal of the Dwarapalaka idols from the temple for gold plating.
