EU to adopt anti-drone sanctions against Russia on 17 July in response to its airstrikes on Ukraine

The Council of the EU is to adopt a new mini-package of sanctions against Russia on 17 July, in response to Russia's sustained attacks on Ukraine's civilian population.

Details: "The EU Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) has agreed to launch the written adoption procedure, so this package of sanctions against Russia will be formally adopted tomorrow," an EU diplomat said.

The package to be adopted on 17 July will target legal entities and individuals involved in the production of Shahed and Geran attack drones on Russian territory.
