Imprisoned American rapper and music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has sold one of his luxury waterfront mansions on Miami's exclusive Star Island for about Sh7.1 billion ($55 million) while serving a 50-month federal prison sentence.

The mansion, which Combs bought in 2021 for Sh4.5 billion ($35 million), features six bedrooms, eight-and-a-half bathrooms, a resort-style swimming pool, spa, private dock, guest house, and sweeping views of Biscayne Bay.

Before his 2024 arrest, Combs reportedly cleared the remaining mortgage on the property, allowing it to be used as collateral in support of his unsuccessful Sh6.5 billion ($50 million) bail application.

The estate has now been sold in a private transaction to businessman John A. Franklin, who financed the purchase through a Sh2.4 billion ($18.5 million) mortgage from San Diego-based Axos Bank.
