Guidance Tamil Nadu, the investment promotion bureau of the State, on Thursday held a stakeholders meet under the Tamil Nadu Industrial Policy Stakeholders Connect initiative to gauge industry views as it prepares a new Industrial Policy for the state.The current edition brought together leaders from the Life Sciences, Fireworks, Rare Earth, and Chemicals sectors to contribute their perspectives to the upcoming Tamil Nadu Industrial Policy.Guidance TN said in a social media post that the consultation saw active participation from leading industry associations, including Tamil Nadu Fireworks and Amorces Manufacturers Association (TANFAMA), the Chemical Industries Association, the Manali Industries Association, the Association of Tamil Nadu Medical Device Industry - ATMED, and the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association (IDMA), along with representatives from the respective sectors.“Through a structured stakeholder survey, participants shared recommendations on policy priorities, regulatory reforms, incentives, improvements to the digital single-window portal, ease of doing business, and sector-specific challenges,” Guidance TN said.industrial ecosystemThe discussion also explored measures to strengthen the industrial ecosystem, support emerging sectors, and enhance Tamil Nadu’s competitiveness as a preferred investment destination, it added.Industries Secretary S Vijayakumar, and Deepak Jacob, MD & CEO, Guidance Tamil Nadu, chaired the meeting and are said to have reiterated to the industry players that they intend to draft the State’s new industrial policy with stakeholder feedback and responses.This is the second such meeting in a series of stakeholder meets being conducted by Guidance TN.
