The Oregon Ducks have put together one of the most impressive classes of rising seniors, headlined by blue-chip talent. He was one of just five prospects nationwide to join the elite five-star club in the latest update, which now features 23 players total.Guerrant now ranks as the No. 22 overall prospect, the No. 3 wide receiver in the country and the No. 1 player in the state of Michigan.What Scouts Are Saying About Dakota GuerrantGuerrant's rise wasn't based on just one standout performance or stat line. Rivals director of scouting Charles Power explained that the staff continued evaluating the nation's top receivers throughout the spring and summer, and the more they watched Guerrant, the more convinced they became that he belonged among the country's elite prospects."Dakota Guerrant has the best ball skills of any receiver we've seen to this point in the cycle," Power said.Power went on to explain that his scouting staff gained more clarity with every in-person evaluation. The combination of his frame, athleticism and continued development ultimately convinced Rivals he belonged among the select group of five-star prospects.Last season, Guerrant recorded 55 receptions for 1,074 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns.
