The teaser of Sriimurali’s action drama Paraak has generated a massive buzz in the Kannada film industry. The movie marks the actor’s major release after Bagheera (2024).In the teaser, Sriimurali is seen in a rugged look with a solid physique. The video shows a group of men confronting Sriimurali’s character before a fight breaks out. The lead actor is seen in a slick and creatively choreographed action sequence that has impressed fans on social media.In discussions about the stunts in Paraak, Kannada cinegoers have drawn parallels to the quality of action in Korean films. The adrenaline-pumping visuals are backed by Charan Raj’s gripping background score.Directed by debutant Halesh Kogundi, Paraak is produced by Akhilesh Kogundi, Ashik Madal and Deepak Ashwath Narayan under the banner Brand Studios. Sandeep Valluri is the cinematographer, while Halesh has penned the story along with Team Brand Studios.K Ravivarma has choreographed the high-octane action sequences in Paraak. The makers haven’t announced other cast members of the movie.Right from Prashanth Neel’s Ugramm (2014), action has been Sriimurali’s forte. With Mufti (2017), Bharaate (2019)and Bagheera, he has established himself as an intense action star.TheHindu review of Bagheera said, “A little boy grows up as a Superman fan and then puts on a mask to stand for truth and justice like Batman. Like the Black Panther, he is ready to sacrifice himself for his people. As a genre piece, Bagheera mirrors several well-known superhero movies. However, the film is a daring effort that almost manages a seamless paper-to-screen transition.
