A make-up product that's proven popular on Love Island has made its way into my make-up bag – and I gave it a whirl after seeing the contestants love it13:20, 16 Jul 2026Updated 13:21, 16 Jul 2026I tried Love Island favourite make-up product and results floored meLove Island contestants are well-known for constantly looking gorgeous, and they're always decked out in the most fashionable viral outfits, with the most sought-after make-up products of the summer. So, despite the fact that I am no Love Islander, I thought I'd try and get a piece of the action of the villa this summer, and try one of the most popular products from the villa. It's the P Louise lip oil, a gorgeously non-sticky formula that promises a pretty pout all night long, so I had to put it to the test to see whether it could withstand a night out with my pals, when reapplication just isn't on your mind at all.The product is £13, so it's definitely pricier than your bog-standard lip balm. However, the product description promises a smoother and shinier finish that keeps your pout looking healthy too.The P Louise website reads: "Our Stay Shining Lip Oil, the perfect hybrid of makeup and skincare, delivering a high-shine, glossy finish while intensely nourishing your lips."Formulated with Meadowfoam Seed Oil to lock in moisture, antioxidant-rich Vitamin E to protect and soothe, and coconut-derived smoothers for a silky, lightweight, non-sticky feel, it enhances your natural lips with a subtle tint and glass-like shine."Wear it alone for a fresh, hydrated look, layer it over your favourite lip products for added dimension and gloss, or apply generously overnight as a nourishing treatment to wake up to soft, smooth, healthy-looking lips".So what did I make of the product? And did it make me feel like I was spending a night at the villa? To test the finish, I applied it over a Beauty Crop liner and a Mac lipstick. It did take a little lipstick off the centre, but to be honest, I like that because it made my lips look super glossy and plump. It's a perfect summery look when you want things to look a tad more natural than just a lipstick. It delivers the perfect amount of shimmer, the ideal amount of colour (if you get one with a colour), and it actually feels good on the lips. I cannot stand a lip oil or gloss with a sticky texture, and this is the exact opposite of that, so it will definitely be a mainstay in my makeup bag.I was blown away by how many different flavours there are of the oil, with everything from coconut to French toast, peach iced tea, donut, raspberry, and so many more! There is certainly something for everyone's tastes.I had a limited edition hot chocolate and marshmallows one which has a slightly brown tint, which is perfect for me as I love a good nude lip.It even tastes absolutely incredible, too, as I'm sure lots of the flavours do. And for just £13, you really cannot go wrong.Article continues belowThe reason P Louise products have made it into the villa is thanks to Paige's collaboration with the huge beauty retailer, who is the official beauty partner for Love Island. Will you be trying the P Louise Stay Shining Crown Lip Oil?
