The Iranian Revolutionary Guards declared they had struck a US air base in Jordan with ballistic missiles, in response to what they described as an American attack near a specialized pediatric cancer hospital in Iran.
According to their website, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated that US forces "used air bases located in Jordan to strike various areas of Iran, including the vicinity of a specialized pediatric cancer hospital," and that Iranian aerospace forces responded by "launching two waves of missile attacks" against the bases in Jordan.
