The judge said Malami had failed to show that the properties were acquired through lawful means.
The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the final forfeiture of 48 properties, including a university, linked to a former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to the Nigerian Government.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, delivering judgement on Wednesday, held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had established that the properties were reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The judge said Malami had failed to show that the properties were acquired through lawful means.
Before delivering the judgement, Justice Abdulmalik dismissed several applications, motions on notice and applications to show cause filed by Malami, his family members and companies linked to the properties, describing them as lacking merit.
