The Delta State Police Command has arrested popular content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, widely known as "Odogwu of Asaba," over allegations that he raped a 20-year-old woman who later died after allegedly taking a poisonous substance.
The command announced the arrest in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, saying the suspect was taken into custody following a petition submitted to the police over the incident.
According to the police, the deceased had travelled to Asaba on June 1, 2026, after Ogbonna allegedly invited her for what he described as a content creation training programme, which he had promoted on his social media platforms.
