The family of one of the pupils recently rescued after spending nearly two months in captivity following the abduction in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State has narrated the child’s traumatic experience, alleging that the terrorists beat him whenever he asked about his family and fed the captives garri without sugar.

The revelation was made by one of the pupil’s relatives in an interview shared by TVC News on Wednesday.

According to the relative, the child, identified as Taiwo, has continued to recount the ordeal since returning home, revealing that the abductors subjected the victims to physical abuse and deprived them of proper food.

“When he saw you people (journalists), he started clinging to us. They really stressed them in the forest. He has been narrating it to us. He said they beat him when he remembers us,” the relative said.
