ABUJA: Kano State has emerged the leading state in the Independent National Electoral Commission’s INEC ongoing Continuous Voter Registration CVR exercise, recording 182,749 completed registrations, the highest of any state in the country, according to the Commission’s Phase III, Week Nine data as of 10th July 2026.
The figures showed that Kano’s total comprised 60,325 completed online registrations and 122,424 physical registrations, representing 7.50 percent of all registrations captured nationwide.
Nationwide, INEC recorded a cumulative total of 2,436,275 completed online and physical registrations, made up of 823,324 online registrations and 1,612,951 physical registrations, as the Commission continues preparations ahead of the 2027 general election.
Lagos followed with 114,983 total registrations, representing 4.72 percent of the national figure, while Edo recorded 121,554 registrations, accounting for 4.99 percent. Delta State registered 108,547, representing 4.46 percent of the total.
