The Commission hopes the Council will adopt the list by the end of the summer

The Commission on Wednesday said retained EDPCIs projects would receive an equal share of the €325 million earmarked by EDIP.

The projects on drones, integrated air and missile defence, integrated maritime-and seabed defence, space, and the Eastern Flank Watch will each receive €60 million from the European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP), Tomasz Husak, Director at DG DEFIS told MEPs.

Four other projects that still need further defining, spanning data space for AI, C2, robotics and artillery systems, will each receive €3.37 million ahead of the next EDPCIs “establishment round”.

The Commission last month first announced the list of large-scale projects to be funded by the €1.5 billion programme’s envelope.
