No police officers or other civilians are understood to have been injured in the incident.The suspect was wounded by return fire from police and was taken to hospital. He is currently under investigation on charges of making threats and violating firearms legislation.Images from the scene outside the supermarket showed specialist police officers with masks and guns surrounding the entrance, while a man was lying in the back of an ambulance.‌It was specifically said by police that the man had a "kind of musket in his hand" rather than a typical gun "which he then fired at the officers".Witnesses reported the man shouted a religious phrase and then screamed in pain as he was shot, while a pool of blood could be seen on the ground afterwards.Part of a police investigation will look at the response from officers and whether they were correct to use their weapons.
