The Hyderabad branch of ISKCON Abids will celebrate the 47th Annual Sri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra Festival on Thursday. In view of the procession, the Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions and alternative routes in parts of the city on Thursday. Another Rath Yatra will begin from the Jagannath Temple in Banjara Hills.The ISKCON procession will begin at 11 a.m. from NTR Stadium and proceed towards the Exhibition Grounds. The route includes RTC X Roads, Narayanaguda, Himayathnagar, Liberty, Basheerbagh, BJR Circle, Gunfoundry, Taj Mahal Junction, GPO Circle, M.J. Market and Malakunta.Traffic on the route will be regulated, stopped or diverted as required, with the procession expected to reach the Exhibition Grounds by 5 p.m.The procession of Jagannath Temple on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, will be held between noon and 8 p.m. Traffic diversions will be implemented around Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and adjoining areas.Commuters travelling between Masab Tank, Lakdikapul, Khairatabad, Road No. 12, Film Nagar, Shaikpet and Road No. 45 have been advised to use Road No. 1, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar, NTR Bhavan and Jubilee Hills Check Post.Vehicles travelling towards Road No. 12 from Shaikpet, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills and Tolichowki have been advised to use Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar and Road No. 1.The police advised commuters to use alternative routes to avoid delays and cooperate with traffic personnel.
