You wouldn’t think MS NOW has a deep pocket of fans deep in the heart of Texas, but the cable-news network is going there anyway.
The Versant Media backed news outlet will on September 26 offer a full day of discussions and panels featuring many of its best known personalities at an event called “MS NOW Live: Together in Texas,” which will be held in the city of Arlington, close to both Dallas and Fort Worth.
“With a consequential midterm election only a few months away, we’re bringing our trusted anchors and reporters together to directly engage with our audience for a day filled with lively discussions, meaningful connections, and unforgettable moments that will highlight the power of democracy and community during such a critical point in our country’s history,” said Lauren Peikoff, executive producer of MS NOW Live, in a prepared statement.
Conversations might focus on some of the issues that have sparked Texans in recent months, including voting rights, immigration, education and the economy. Texas also plays host to what has unexpectedly become a close race for the U.S. Senate between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico.
Among the MS NOW anchors and reporters taking part are: Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell, Jen Psaki, Stephanie Ruhle, Ali Velshi, Ari Melber, Chris Hayes, Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez, Jacob Soboroff, Eugene Daniels, Michael Steele, Luke Russert, and Rev. Al Sharpton.
