The All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West Vice Chairman, Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 general election as a strategic move that would boost the party’s chances of victory.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Datti congratulated Shettima on his re-nomination, saying the decision reflected President Tinubu’s confidence in his deputy’s loyalty, competence and commitment to national service.
He commended the President for retaining Shettima, describing the Vice President as a dependable partner whose performance in office had earned the confidence of Nigerians.
Datti said, “I sincerely congratulate the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, on his re-nomination by the President. This action by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is a demonstration of his trust and confidence in the Vice President.
