Adani Power Ltd on Wednesday said it has signed a 25-year power supply agreement (PSA) with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the long-term supply of 1,600 MW of electricity from a new ultra-supercritical thermal power plant.The agreement follows the company’s receipt of a Letter of Award (LoA) from MSEDCL in March after it emerged as the lowest bidder in a competitive tender, quoting a combined tariff of ₹5.30 per unit. Power supply under the agreement is expected to commence from FY31.Under the PSA, Adani Power will establish a 2x800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant under the design, build, finance, own and operate (DBFOO) model.
