It’s set to be an “Oh, Mary!” reunion on the West End.
Alongside playwright and original lead Cole Escola — who is reprising the title role of Mary Todd Lincoln at London’s Trafalgar Theatre from July 20 to Aug. 15 — Giles Terera is set to return as Mary’s Husband (July 20- Aug. 15) and Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher (July 20- Aug. 1). Terera originated the role of Mary’s Husband on the West End earlier this year and earned an Olivier nomination, while Urie (who just earned his second Emmy nomination for “Shrinking”) played Mary’s Teacher on Broadway opposite Jinkx Monsoon.
Original “Oh, Mary!” cast members Bianca Leigh and Tony Macht are also returning as Mary’s Chaperone and Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, respectively, joining Escola, Terera and Urie from July 20- Aug. 1. The performances on July 28 are set to be filmed, and tickets for those shows are on sale now via the play’s website.
Additional casting through Sept. 26 has also been announced, with Scott Karim as Mary’s Husband (Aug. 17- Sept. 26), Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher (Aug. 3- Sept. 26), Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone (Aug. 3-Sept. 26) and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant (Aug. 3- Sept. 26). Monsoon will reprise the role of Mary from Aug. 17- Sept. 26.
