Renewing criticism of the agency’s enforcement tactics, both shootings invoked a familiar narrative: Federal officers said they opened fire on a driver who weaponized their vehicle against them. In Florida on Tuesday, a third man in roughly a week died during an encounter with immigration agents after he was hit by a tractor-trailer while fleeing federal officers, authorities said. At least 10 people have been killed during immigration operations since the start of the Trump administration’s mass deportation campaign.
