Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd's managing director Datuk Mohd Izani Ghani said hoarding installation at Carousel E began on Wednesday to enable the replacement of its baggage reclaim belt, while similar works at Carousel F are scheduled to start on Aug. 31, Bernama reported.
The upgrade of both baggage reclaim carousels is expected to be completed by January 2027, after which the modernization program will continue in phases across the remaining baggage reclaim areas.

Mohd Izani said the phased implementation allows the airport to remain fully operational while critical airport infrastructure is being upgraded, with airport authorities working closely with airlines and ground-handling partners to minimize disruption, Business Today reported.
"While passengers may experience some temporary congestion in the baggage reclaim hall, baggage delivery operations will continue as normal," he said.
