Millions of travelers can visit the United Kingdom, UK without applying for a traditional visitor visa before departure. Instead, many nationalities are eligible to travel with an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA), while Irish citizens remain exempt from both visa and ETA requirements.
The UK government maintains a list of “visa nationals”—countries whose citizens must obtain a visa before travelling.
