Holly Willoughby appears to have teased a comeback three years after leaving This Morning – and she’s heading to YouTube. The TV presenter, 45, seems set to return to screens after launching a new channel on the platform on Tuesday (14 July), complete with a bright pink logo reading: “Holly Willoughby Together”. The online channel was launched alongside a new Instagram account @hollywilloughbytogether, with a bio that reads “We are almost ready to get together…”While details surrounding Willoughby’s new venture remain under wraps, her return will be surely welcomed by fans who have missed the TV presenter since she stepped away from ITV’s This Morning in 2023. Followed and subscribed.”Willoughby’s celebrity pals are throwing their support behind her too, with All Saints star Nicole Appleton, Denise Van Outen, and Kelsey Parker among those voicing their encouragement in the comments section. The former ITV presenter isn’t the first traditional TV star to head to YouTube; Ricky Gervais recently posted a series of videos to his YouTube channel to mark the 25th anniversary of his sitcom The Office, while disgraced comedian Russell Brand began posting daily videos to his channel in 2022. The following year, YouTube blocked Brand from earning revenue on the platform in light of sexual assault allegations made against him, to which he pleaded not guilty earlier this year. Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara has posted her Talks With Janette interview series on the site for the past several years, however arguably the most successful TV star has been Molly Mae Hague, who has amassed over two million subscribers on YouTube since her Love Island stint in 2019. Her final months on the programme were marred by controversy when her long-time co-presenter Phillip Schofield was fired from the show after admitting to lying about a relationship with a much younger employee while he was still married. “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning,” Willoughby said in an Instagram statement at the time. “To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together.” Her long tenure as the host of Dancing on Ice also came to an end last year when ITV announced the show was “rested” with “no current plans for another series”. The ice-skating competition began in 2006, but suffered from falling viewer numbers in the lead-up to it being shelved. Willoughby had continued to host the programme for two years after Schofield resigned in 2023 over the same controversy. In an Instagram post at the time, Willoughby thanked everyone who has been “part of our Dancing on Ice family”.She added: “I will miss it hugely, but I count myself so lucky to have had it for as long as we did.”Since then, she’s appeared as a presenter on Netflix’s Celebrity Bear Hunt alongside wilderness expert Bear Grylls. The show, which saw celebrities, including Mel B and Shirley Ballas, try to evade Grylls in the jungle, was cancelled after one season in June last year.
