OpenAI is planning a battery-powered home speaker without a screen as its first consumer hardware product, Bloomberg reported.
The start-up is working on several other potential hardware products, including a pendant, a mobile device that could replace a smartphone, and home robotics, but is planning to launch the speaker first, the report said, citing unnamed people.
OpenAI has also announced a more specialised device, a macro keyboard for programmers called Codex Micro, saying it would give more details on Wednesday.
