Luke Rowan Sigamoney

A NIGHT out turned deadly for a young Shallcross man, Luke Rowan Sigamoney, who was allegedly assaulted and stabbed after being accused of sexually assaulting a friend’s girlfriend.

As his alleged killers appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, family members and friends demanded justice for him.

Sigamoney, 20, was allegedly beaten and repeatedly stabbed along the M7 highway, near the North Park offramp, before being taken to the RK Khan Hospital where he died during the early hours of last Sunday (July 5).

Two of his “friends”, Tyron Chetty, 20, and Trevin Singh, 28, have been charged for Sigamoney’s murder.
