Cobus Reinach, despite the competition from younger scrumhalves and his age, remains determined to make it to the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

The last time the Springboks played Wales, in November last year, they pumped 70 points past them in Cardiff, but Cobus Reinach says there is no chance of the Boks being complacent against the same team in Durban on Saturday.

“We do not talk about what we have done before,” the scrumhalf said. “We focus on what we need to do now to get better as a squad. There are always work-ons.

“What has happened can change in a blink of an eye. If we don’t pitch up on Saturday, it is not going to just happen, and they will turn us over if we are not switched on,” the 51-cap veteran warned.

“We know we have to be 100 percent on our game, every game — it does not matter who you play and where you play them.
