China's home prices continued to fall in June, though at a slower pace, as the country's yearslong property slump dragged on.
Home prices in the country's 70 biggest cities fell 0.15% in June compared with a 0.2% drop in May, according to calculations by The Wall Street Journal based on data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday.
Of the 70 cities, 49 reported a month-on-month decline, down from 52 cities in May.
Home prices declined 3.5% in June from a year earlier, narrowing slightly from May's 3.6% fall. There were 66 cities reporting year-over-year price declines, compared with 67 recorded in May.
In the first half of the year, home prices in the 70 major cities fell 3.5% from the same period a year earlier.
