Cruise, Robbie Williams and American singer, actress and presenter Jennifer Hudson are just some of the names set to perform at the closing ceremony ahead of the final.The event will take place at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, 90 minutes before kick-off, to mark the end of the 2026 international football tournament.The show will also feature performances from Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger, Italian singer-songwriter Laura Pausini and streamer IShowSpeed – with Hudson set to deliver a rendition of the US national anthem.It will also include a special appearance by Mission Impossible star Cruise ahead of the final match. Fifa 2026 chief operating officer Heimo Schirgi said: "Echoing the spirit of the opening ceremonies, which welcomed the world to the greatest stage in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the closing ceremony will bring the Fifa World Cup 2026 full circle through music, culture and football, before we kick off the highly anticipated match that will crown the champions of this groundbreaking tournament."The show will be curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and will also include Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and K-pop stars BTS.Currently, it is among the four semi-finalists, with either France or Spain facing either England or Argentina in the competition. By Wednesday night, following the second semi-final, we will know who will play each other in the final.The show will last 11 minutes and will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Shakira and Burna Boy are likely to perform their song Dai Dai, the official anthem for the 2026 World Cup."Robbie loves football and is excited to play at this momentous gig. Of course, he hopes England will be one of the teams in the final," a source told The Sun of the Angels singer's inclusion in the festivities.Robbie and Laura [Pausini] were also on hand to perform during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final match between Chelsea FC and Paris Saint-Germain in July last year, where they wowed with their song.Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher is less than impressed by the changes to have a half-time show. "I'm doing the half-time raffle for a leg of lamb," he said on TalkSport.Noel added: "I don't like changes in football. I'm looking forward to these new rules about corners and time-wasting, that might be a good thing for the game, but I don't like the razzmatazz of football; it's been functioning perfectly for hundreds of years."Noel also questioned whether any of the performers had any links to football and why they had been chosen specifically. During the big announcement, Chris Martin appeared with Sesame Street characters, including Elmo. He said: "Well, this year for the first time, there's a halftime show at the World Cup Final!"It's where people get together and there's singing, and there's dancing, and there's music.
