But there was a very valid reason the 60-year-old couldn't attend.‌The That Don't Impress Me Much singer had already promised to be the opening act for Harry Style's record breaking string of 12 dates at London's Wembley stadium - the most nights any artist has ever performed there.‌So while Taylor and Travis, both 36, were saying 'I do' at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden in front of 1,000 guests, Shania was nearly 3,500 miles away belting out hits before Taylor's one-time ex Harry, 32, came on stage for his sold-out Together, Together tour.‌Though they once dated, Taylor and Harry have remained friends. And he was also thought to have been invited to her wedding on July 4, along with his own bride-to-be Zoe Kravitz, who went to Taylor's nuptials alone.‌Coincidentally, the Fourth of July was Harry's last performance at Wembley, so he couldn't exactly back out of his own show.Explaining it was just an unfortunate date clash, Shania told CTV's eTalk show in America: "Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding - and I couldn't go as I was already committed to Harry's shows. It's just kind of funny that it happened that way."The host cut in: "It is kind of funny, cause that's one of her exes. Where you like, 'Sorry Taylor, I'm gonna choose Harry?'"‌Shania responded: "No, I was already committed. I would have done anything to be at Taylor's wedding. That would have been really lovely for me to be there - but I was with Harry."She then joked: "So that's why I'm saying that if Harry ever gets married and he wants me at his wedding then..." The presenter cut in: "So Harry's going to have to plan his wedding around your schedule? Shania smiled as she replied: "He's going to have to ask me more in advance."Asked if she would sing at pal Harry's wedding if he wanted her so, Shania teased: "If I was available, I would."‌Though neither Shania or Harry could be at Taylor's wedding, the former One Direction star appeared to pay a sweet tribute to Taylor, who he briefly dated in 2012, as she tied the knot with American footballer Travis.Fans were stunned when he performed the song Two Ghosts, which is widely believed to be about Taylor. Taking to X, one fan joked: "He wanted to be there to stop the wedding," as another said: "Taylor said he was that guy who might interrupt her wedding... not quite close."During a 2014 interview before Taylor had even met Travis, she was talking about her song Style - widely believed to be about ex Harry.
