The star explained that it’s the first time she has “felt so seen” in a relationship.‌Despite meeting at school, the supermodel was first linked to the music artist in June 2022, and they have been inseparable ever since. In a new interview to promote her debut album, the 33-year-old shared that her sobriety had completely changed their sex life, but had made them a lot more intimate than they were.‌Alongside a stunning cover shoot for Playboy Magazine, she said: “She’s a normie. I mean, she’s not sober, but she has a drink. We’re very different. I can’t date someone like myself, ever - I come with a lot of stuff.‌“She’s the most incredible person I know. We’re best friends, obviously, lovers, and everything else, but I’ve never had a relationship like it and felt so close to someone and felt so seen.”Discussing her sobriety, the Della Vite co-founder continued: “Sex sober after all of that is definitely difficult. It changes, but it's so much deeper and so much more emotional.‌"I used to put a higher value on sex and validation from people. I used to think, ‘Oh, I’m a pervert. I’m a really horny person.’ But I think [I was] seeking love and validation through sex. Sex is a language, too, and your own sexuality, what turns you on, is like a beautiful dance you play with yourself."So many people spend so much more time on how they want to be perceived by others, and not their own sexual relationship with themselves - loving yourself and turning yourself on. It’s fun when you can discover that.”Cara has spoken publicly about her battle with addiction, and previously shared that her life spiralled when she first took drugs at the age of 14. Touching on her teenage years, she explained that she turned to ketamine, before she started taking acid on a daily basis - using substances as a way of “escaping”.‌The Only Murders in the Building actress explained that music helped her turn her life around, and became a huge part of her recovery journey. Speaking to Playboy, she said that other people now approach her to share their own stories with sobriety. She added: “It saved my life. It’s no small thing. It’s not like talking about my eyebrows. It’s not for everyone, but I don’t know one person who has had a period of sobriety, whether it’s because a parent died or they needed to really process something, that [sobriety] hasn’t helped.”Article continues belowLike this story?
