New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday said it will intervene if any adverse action is taken against teachers not following CBSE's three-language policy mandate for Class IX students.A three-member bench headed by CJI Surya Kant made the observation while directing CBSE to file its response to a plea challenging the policy over the shortage of relevant textbooks and its sudden implementation. "The nomenclature may require some relook. Spirit is very clear. The question is, can Indians consider English an indigenous Indian language? At one point, Persian was the language of this court, but is it there in the Eighth Schedule?" justice Bagchi verbally remarked.
