Gade Vijaya Lakshmi, the mother of Gade Sai Krishna in the alleged illegal detention, torture and the custodial death case, reportedly withdrew the habeas corpus petition that was filed on June 2. She filed a petition in the High Court on Tuesday seeking withdrawal of the habeas corpus petition.The Task Force police of NTR Commissionerate, along with Krishnalanka police apprehended Sai Krishna, against whom two non-bailable warrants (NBWs) were pending, from Markapuram on May 6. They handed Sai Krishna to the Krishnalanka police on the same day. Later the victim was reportedly not seen, and his mother filed a habeas corpus petition in the High Court.With the Krishnalanka police failing to produce Sai Krishna, the court posted the matter and on Tuesday, Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi, filed a petition seeking withdrawal of the habeas corpus petition.Meanwhile, Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi reportedly said that she was unaware of another petition filed in the High Court seeking CBI inquiry into the alleged custodial death.
