They said officers were still working to establish the motive.At a briefing, assistant commissioner Laurence Taylor, head of Britain’s counter-terrorism policing, told reporters:

I don’t want to comment further on that motivation or preparation at this stage of our inquiries.

Local police arrested a white British man late on Saturday on suspicion of her murder.
