Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), on Tuesday paid his maiden visit to the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) in Visakhapatnam after assuming office.During the visit, Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, briefed the CNS on the prevailing maritime security environment. The briefing covered the Command’s operational preparedness and ongoing commitments along the eastern seaboard and across the wider Indian Ocean Region.Addressing officers and sailors, Admiral Swaminathan commended the personnel of the Eastern Naval Command for maintaining high standards of operational readiness, professionalism and commitment to safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
