July 14 (UPI) -- An Australian city gathered more than 600 musicians to play trombones together and break a Guinness World Record.

The City of Ipswich, Queensland, hosted the attempt to break the record for the largest trombone ensemble as part of the SPARK Ipswich Arts Festival.

The trombonists who performed "76 Trombones" from The Music Man included representatives from schools, bands and orchestras from across Queensland and beyond.

The attempt was organized by Ipswich City Big Band Music Director Matt Chambers.
