Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service have contained a forest floor fire covering an area of 1 hectare in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the State Emergency Service.

Firefighting efforts are ongoing. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of rescue workers, the fire was prevented from spreading over large areas.

The situation is fully under control. Measures are being taken to completely extinguish isolated pockets of smoldering embers.
