The BBC has released its yearly salary list, where it shows on-air pay above £178,000 for 2025 and 202614:52, 14 Jul 2026The BBC Breakfast hosts' salaries have been revealed thanks to the BBC's annual report.Viewers typically see the show presented by main hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt or Sally Nugent and Jon Kay.However, sometimes Sarah Campbell, Roger Johnson, Rachel Burden, Ben Thompson, Nina Warhurst, Luxmy Gopal, Emma Vardy or Lewis Vaughan Jones will step in as stand-in presenters.The BBC is obliged to publish a list of salaries paid to individuals both on air and off air who receive more than £178,000 from licence fee revenue in the year. The list does not include individuals who are paid through independent production companies or the BBC's commercial division, BBC Studios.On Tuesday, 14 July, the BBC published its on-air stars' salaries, where it shows on-air pay above £178,000 for 2025 and 2026 in the corporation's annual report. The list is ranked by pay band, starting with the highest.Leading the BBC Breakfast hosts, and the BBC salary list, is Naga Munchetty in eighth place this is due to her work on BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio 5 Live. This is closely followed by Jon Kay in 43rd place, Rachel Burden in 46th place, Sally Nugent in 58th place and Charlie Stayt in 65th place. Here's the BBC Breakfast stars' salaries in full...Naga Munchetty- £360,000-£364,999Naga Munchetty is eighth on the list with her salary of £360,000-£364,999. This is up from £355,000-£359,999 the following year.Naga, 51, first joined BBC Breakfast as a stand-in presenter in 2009 but in 2014 she became a main presenter, where she has hosted with Charlie Stayt ever since.As well as her BBC Breakfast duties, Naga hosts her own show on BBC Radio 5 Live Monday to Wednesday. In the past, Naga has also taken on other presenting duties within the BBC.Jon Kay - £225,000-£229,999Jon Kay is 43rd on the list with his salary £225,000-£229,999. This is actually down from £240,000-£244,999 the following year.Jon, 56, first joined BBC Breakfast as a stand-in presenter in 2009 and in 2022 he became a main presenter, regularly hosting with Sally Nugent.As well as BBC Breakfast, Jon is also part of the following BBC ventures - Radio 4's Saturday Live, Any Answers, Pick of the Week and Last Word.Rachel Burden - £215,000-£219,999Rachel Burden is 46th on the list with her salary £215,000-£219,999. This is actually down from £220,000-£224,999 the following year.Rachel, 51, has been a stand-in presenter on BBC Breakfast since 2015. Rachel's other roles include 5 Live Breakfast and Cafe Hope podcast.However, just this month, Rachel announced her exit from the show after 11 years, with the programme no longer being broadcast on Sunday mornings due to schedule changes.Sally Nugent - £200,000-£204,999Sally Nugent is 58th on the list with her salary of £200,000-£204,999. This is no change from the following year.Sally, 54, first joined BBC Breakfast in 2011 as a stand-in presenter and became a main presenter in 2021, where she regularly hosts alongside Jon.Unlike her co-stars Naga and Jon, Sally just hosts BBC Breakfast.Charlie Stayt - £190,000-£194,999Charlie Stayt is 65th on the list with his salary of £190,000-£194,999.
