The Kano State Government has extended a welfare support package to the family of late Inspector Sani Haladu, a police officer who died in the line of duty on March 27, 2026.

The support package includes a cash donation of N1 million and food items comprising five bags of rice, six bags of spaghetti, six bags of macaroni and two 25-litre jerry cans of vegetable oil.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Police Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, a copy of which was made available to PUNCH Online on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the items were presented at the command headquarters by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mohammed Tajo Othman, on behalf of the Kano State Government.
