Baldoni has called on a judge to deny or "substantially reduce" her request.The It Ends with Us co-stars had been locked in a bitter legal battle since December 2024. Lively had accused her co-star, who also directed the film, of sexual harassment. She also claimed he organised a co-ordinated attack on her after the release in attempt to destroy her reputation.But Baldoni, 42, vehemently rejected the claims and hit back with a countersuit. He Lively, 38, and her husband Ryan Reynolds of defamation and extortion.Baldoni and Lively reached an out-of-court settlement in April, months before they were set to face off at trial. But the war is far from over with Baldoni now fighting his co-star's latest legal claim.He has filed a request for a federal judge after Lively called for the seven-figure sum in attorneys fees, plus "$539,514.01 (£403,985.39) in costs and expenses".His legal time filed on Monday, saying: "Lively fails to meet her burden to present credible evidence showing that the fees and costs she seeks to recover are reasonable and, accordingly, her fee motion should be denied in its entirety.“At minimum, the Court should substantially reduce the request, using as a benchmark the $181,622.70 the Times sought after securing dismissal of Count II on its separate motion to dismiss – the same outcome Lively achieved.”Lively has kept a low profile since the settlement and did not attend Taylor Swift's wedding to Travis Kelce this month, despite the pop star being godmother to her children.Last week, Baldoni and his wife Emily spoke out for the first time since the legal battle launched, saying they are "healing" following the initial settlement.Siting alongside his wife, Baldoni opened up about the “trauma” of the high-profile legal battle. H began the almost five minute-long video, by telling the camera: “So, we have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years, and it’s not because we haven’t had anything to say, because Lord knows we have.“But it just felt like every time we went to make a video like this, we wanted to speak, something was telling us not to. It just didn’t feel like the right time. But we were talking about it and feeling into it and praying about it.”His wife revealed the “immense gratitude” for “so many things and so many people” in their lives as she joined in. But she also said this feeling “doesn’t negate the injustice and the pain that we have also felt in the last few years."She added: "We’ve had to wrestle with so many things and try to understand so many things, like how could something like this even happen? Let alone disguised as a fight for women. So much to unpack,”The Swedish actress, 41, continued to say “there has been a lot of trauma for us to move through as a family," saying it made it difficult for them to speak out.The actor then said: "We don’t even know this is the right thing to say, but we just know we need to share something. What I will say, is that there have been so many painful things that have been spoken into existence over the last couple years. That created so much noise, and we didn’t want to add to the noise. So we just wanted to let the justice system run its course.”He continued: “So how are we doing? We are healing, and if you’ve ever been through something traumatic, you know that healing isn’t linear. “It looks different every day, and we have had to rethink for ourselves what is real and what matters. It’s this.
