3. Castillo King is an interesting first starter that has twice trialled nicely, particularly in his latest run when he strode away in an 818m heat. If he can make use of barrier one and run up to his trials, he should be hard to beat. 6. Eviction Notice will be no easybeat and brings some quality two-year-old form including a second in the Silver Slipper into the race. He’s been gelded and was given a reminder in his recent trial win. 10. Sir Echo looks an improver on whatever he produces on debut, but the way he finished off his recent trial into a close second over 1000m he could be strong late.

3. Chanterelle kicks off after two trial wins and she took a step forward in the latest of them breaking right away at the finish. She has the speed to put herself in the race and she looks a good chance. 9. Oh Yes She Did showed promise on debut, running fourth in the Gimcrack, but didn’t fire in two starts in the summer. Switched stables and was solid in winning from the front in her July 3 trial. 12. Rocket Girl was favourite on debut in April when he ran third at Hawkesbury in a metro two-year-old event. Caught the eye in her latest trial and bears close watching.
