EXCLUSIVE: Loose Women star GK Barry has been a huge hit on the ITV daytime show since she joined the panel in 2024,.07:08, 14 Jul 2026GK Barry would be the first to admit she’s not a natural footballer, unlike her girlfriend, Millwall player Ella Rutherford. The Loose Women panellist recently went viral for missing a pass from her Soccer Aid teammate Tom Grennan because she was too busy doing a celebration dance on the pitch. The ball sailed past her moments after she was subbed on as a midfielder (and then swiftly subbed off). However, with the World Cup now in full swing, GK, 26, does excel in one position – watching the action parked on the sofa with a glass of prosecco in hand. Speaking after England’s nerve-shredding 2-1 victory over DR Congo, she said simply, “Thank God for Harry Kane.”She says footballer Ella, 26, who she refers to as her “wife” despite the pair not being married yet, hasn’t tried to educate her during the World Cup’s nail-biting knockout games because she’s a “lost cause”.The pair, who met on Instagram in 2024 and quickly moved in together, posed pitchside as Ella signed for Millwall at the start of the month. And GK is clearly delighted to be a WAG.She said, “I’ll be in the stands supporting the wife, doing the Cha-Cha-Cha. My wife has signed for Millwall, it’s a gorgeous day to be alive.”The star, whose real name is Grace Keeling, rose to fame on TikTok while at university in Nottingham, using her initials and the surname ‘Barry’ borrowed from a friend. She launched the Saving Grace podcast interviewing everyone from Bonnie Blue to Rob Beckett and Gemma Collins, and is now taking over TV.She’s been hammering on doors as an investigative reporter and acting in the Harlan Coben thriller Missing You as Vanessa ‘Twinkle Toes’.GK said of her part in the Netflix drama, “I was a foot cam girl. No words, just feet. Happy to be there.”“Honestly if I could actually learn a line, I feel I could smash it,” she says. “I don’t think I could do a Bridgerton though, just because I don’t think the accent fits the location.”Elsewhere, BBC viewers can now watch her take on one of the online platforms that’s been used to attack her and countless other celebs. She tracked down the owner of the controversial forum Tattle Life – where users would pass savage judgement on stars and influencers – in her documentary Toxic Gossip.GK, whose social media career put her in the crosshairs of many of its users, dubbed it “one of the craziest websites I’ve ever seen” and explained how in one dramatic moment, she marched up to Tattle Life founder Sebastian Bond’s house. She said, “I knocked on his front door. I was like the Royal Mail, it was terrifying. He obviously didn’t answer the door. I left him a letter with some questions. He still hasn’t got back to me which is no shock. But I really enjoyed it, I felt like Stacey Dooley.”And there’s Loose Women, which she joined in 2024, making history by becoming the youngest panellist in its quarter-century on air.An ITV schedule shake-up means the show now airs just 30 weeks of the year, but GK has vowed to stay for “as long as they want me”.She said, “I love Loose Women. I always look forward to doing a show on there because it’s always such good vibes. The women are hilarious. It is nice that we’ve still got a show on daytime TV that’s just women-focused. You can’t beat it.”And what does she watch when she’s not working? “I love The Traitors, that is like my number one, Last One Laughing and to be honest, Love Island, I’m really hooked on that at the minute,” she says, “I’d never do that show but it’s my guilty pleasure.”The same year she joined Loose Women, GK jetted to Australia for I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, in the series where Coleen Rooney was runner-up to Danny Jones. She came fifth.GK’s still in touch with many of the cast, naming Rev Richard Coles, DJ Melvin Odoom, her Loose Women co-star Jane Moore, Radio 1’s Dean McCullough and Love Island star Maura Higgins before admitting, “That’s where my social battery runs out.”However, she says super-WAG Coleen helped to inspire her viral moment at Soccer Aid when they met up at the TV football clash’s training camp.GK explains, “She came on the last day with the kids to see Wayne [who also played] so I cornered her and asked her for help because I wasn’t very good at football.“She didn’t give me any tips but she did just say, ‘Think of the bar afterwards.’ I just thought, ‘That’s a great way to think about it.’ And I did.”However, she can’t drink like she once could. GK said she began to experience horrific hangovers at the age of 24 and her “ world came crashing down” as a result.“Now I wake up in the morning feeling like there may possibly be a need for a drip,” she says. “I think I’m going to have to retire at 40. I think the game will be gone.”But help could be on its way. GK is promoting the new Tropicana Hydrate+ drink – a mix of pineapple juice and coconut water that helps people suffering late nights or indeed, early mornings. She was out lending a hand to people who stayed up to watch England’s 2am Mexico kick-off in the World Cup, for which the government said pubs were allowed to stay open. She said, “Who better to front Tropicana’s Recover Like A Pro campaign to launch its new Hydrate+ drink than me? “I have tried some wild recovery hacks over the years after big nights out and am currently coping pretty well sleeping until midday, slapping on the under eye patches and grabbing some greasy food to get me through.”Article continues belowGK Barry is partnering with Tropicana on its Recover Like A Pro campaign to launch new Hydrate+ fruit juice with coconut water.Like this story?
